Heroin support group meets in Cedar Rapids Wednesday

CEDAR RAPIDS - A support group for those affected by opioid addiction meets Wednesday night in Cedar Rapids.
The Eastern Iowa Heroin Initiative and CRUSH - Community Resources United to Stop Heroin - of Iowa host the meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Mission of Hope, 1700 B Ave. NE.
The meeting focuses on those recovering from an opioid addiction and the parents and family members of those who have died from an opioid or heroin overdose. However, anyone interested in learning more about the state of heroin in Iowa is welcome to attend.
