Events planned for Crime Victims’ Rights Week Activities scheduled April 1-7

CEDAR RAPIDS - Several events are scheduled to take place in the coming days in recognition of National Crime Victims' Rights Week.
The Linn County Crime Victims' Rights Week Committee invites the public to take part in the following events:

Saturday, April 1 - Annual Go the Distance for Crime Victims 5K Run/Walk, 9 a.m., Thomas Park, 343 Marion Blvd., Marion.

Sunday, April 2 - Opening ceremonies, 1 p.m., Hiawatha Community Center, 101 Emmons St.
l
Tuesday, April 4 - Pinwheel garden ceremony, 10 a.m., lawn at the Linn County Courthouse, 51 Third Ave. Bridge, Cedar Rapids.
l
Tuesday, April 4 - Victim empathy circle, 5 p.m., William G. Faches Center, 951 29th Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids.

Friday, April 7 - Candlelight vigil for victims of homicide, 7 p.m., Horizons, 819 Fifth St. SE, Cedar Rapids.
