Cedar Rapids woman faces prostitution charge

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids woman has been charged with prostitution.
Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said 18-year-old Shayia L. Jackson is accused of posting an ad for escort services on Wednesday. Jackson met with an undercover officer at a hotel and agreed to perform a sex act in exchange for cash.
Prostitution is an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison.
