Cedar Rapids man pleads guilty to child pornography charge

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man previously convicted of transporting child pornography has pleaded guilty to receiving child pornography.
Donald Etheredge, 51, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to one count of receipt of child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorneys Office for the Northern District of Iowa. During a plea hearing, Etheredge admitted that he knowingly received child pornography between 2013 and 2015.
Etheredge was previously convicted of shipment and transportation of child pornography in 2004, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Etheredge faces a sentence of 15 to 40 years in federal prison, a $250,000 fine, a $100 special assessment and supervised release after his prison term. His sentencing has not yet been scheduled. Etheredge remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshals.
