Broken glass shuts down Marion pool

MARION - The Marion Municipal Pool is closed until further notice due to an act of vandalism, the city announced Tuesday.
City officials said the vandalism occurred overnight and led to broken glass on the pool deck and in the water. Because glass was found in the pool, it must be drained and cleaned.
The pool is likely to be closed for several days and swimming lessons will be rescheduled, the city said. The vandalism remains under investigation.
