Charges filed against Matthew Boleyn in shooting outside the Marion Public Library

MARION — Charges have been filed against the man shot outside of the Marion Public Library last month.
According to the Marion Police Department, 37-year-old Matthew Boleyn has been charged with disorderly conduct and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Police said shortly before midnight on June 22 Boleyn challenged two people — one of them being 29-year-old Samuel Gire — to a fight and then shattered a window on Gire's vehicle. Boleyn was then shot by Gire, who was still in his vehicle, police said.
