CEDAR RAPIDS - A Swisher man was arrested twice for drunken driving over the course of three days.
According to the Linn County Attorney's Office, Cedar Rapids police first arrested 23-year-old Nathan P. Greiner on Jan. 27. Police said Greiner was driving and officers believed he was under the influence. Police also found marijuana and a pipe on Greiner, according to reports.
Greiner submitted to a breath test at the Linn County Jail that showed his blood alcohol content to be .153 percent, nearly twice the legal limit, reports said. He was charged with second-offense drunken driving, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Greiner had previously been convicted of drunken driving in April 2013.
On Jan. 29, police responded to a crash at 2400 Fruitland Blvd. SW and believed Greiner was under the influence. Police said Greiner refused a breath test while at the Cedar Rapids Police Department and refused to comply with officers' commands. He was charged with second-offense drunken driving and interference with official acts for that incident.
