CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man faces a litany of charges following a traffic stop Wednesday evening.
Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said officers pulled over Noah M. Bailey, 18, around 5:39 p.m. in the 2300 block of First Avenue East after he was observed making a wide left turn from 28th Street Drive SE that sent him into a construction zone and caused traffic on First Avenue to come to a stop.
Police searched Bailey's vehicle and found a handgun, a 'large bag” of cocaine, plastic bags of marijuana, prescription bottles without labels, a digital scale and a pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana, Buelow said.
Bailey was arrested and faces four counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver for the cocaine, marijuana and two of the prescription drugs; four counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, and one count each of carrying weapons, unlawful possession of a prescription drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, unsafe entry onto sidewalk or roadway and failure to provide proof of financial liability.
