Iowa City police report robbery at Riverside Drive Kum & Go Friday morning

IOWA CITY - A man with a knife robbed a convenience store early Friday morning, police said.
According to a news release, Iowa City police responded to Kum & Go, 731 S. Riverside Dr., at 3:51 a.m. for a report of an armed robbery. Police said the suspect displayed a knife and fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise. The clerk was not injured, police said.
The suspect is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing bluejeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and a smiley face mask.
Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (319) 358-8477.
