Iowa State Patrol investigating fatal Tuesday night crash

SOLON - The Iowa State Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a Charles City woman.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Tiffany L. Beckles, 35, was driving south on Highway 1 north of Solon around 10:36 p.m. Tuesday, when her Mercury Mountaineer went off the road and into the ditch and hit a Department of Transportation sign, causing the vehicle to roll.
Beckles, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the state patrol said.
The crash remains under investigation.
