Nelson Center resident Nicholas Campbell-Scott placed on escape status

CEDAR RAPIDS - A man placed in a residential facility at the end of March was placed on escape status Monday morning.
According to the Iowa Department of Corrections, Nicholas R. Campbell-Scott failed to report back to the Lary A. Nelson Residential Center Sunday night. Campbell-Scott was admitted to the work release facility on March 31.
Campbell-Scott was previously convicted of second-degree robbery and eluding in Linn County; failure to report contraband in a correctional facility in Grundy County; and burglary, eluding and weapons charges in Black Hawk County. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
