Linn County Jail inmate wanted for escape from custody

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Linn County Jail inmate did not return from a court-ordered furlough on Monday, authorities said.
According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, 19-year-old Jordan S. Johnson was released on a furlough at 10 a.m. Monday to look for a job. Johnson was supposed to return at 3 p.m. and failed to do so, authorities said.
Johnson is serving a sentence for possession of a controlled substance and carrying weapons. Anyone with information on his location is asked to call the sheriff's office at 319-892-6100 or the Cedar Rapids Police Department at 319-286-5491.
