Cedar Rapids police investigating stabbing

CEDAR RAPIDS - Cedar Rapids police are investigating a stabbing.
According to a news release, officers were called to the area of 14th Avenue and Second Street SW at 6:20 p.m. Thursday for a report of a person with a possible stab wound walking around the area. By the time police arrived, the alleged victim had been taken to UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospital by a private vehicle.
Police said when they went to the hospital, the victim was being treated in the emergency room for a stab wound to the right chest area. The victim - who is not identified in the news release - was treated and released.
The stabbing remains under investigation.
