Cedar Rapids woman found with meth and other drugs

IOWA CITY - Police said a Cedar Rapids woman was carrying a cornucopia of drugs when they searched her bag last month.
According to Iowa City police criminal complaints, around 9:10 a.m. Jan. 10 at 2525 N. Dodge St., officers executed a search warrant on a 'secured bag” belonging to 26-year-old Kashawna L. Harris. Police said they found numerous drugs inside the bag, including more than six grams of crystal meth, 2.6 grams of marijuana, one marijuana edible, heroin residue and more than 30 Alprazolam and Clonazepam pills.
Harris was also carrying a digital scale and numerous miniature bags, which police said was indicative of drug sales. She was arrested and faces charged of controlled substance violation, a Class B felony; two counts of possession of a controlled substance - third or subsequent offense, a Class D felony; Iowa drug tax stamp violation, a Class D felony; and the aggravated misdemeanor level of controlled substance violation.
Harris remains in custody.
