One injured in two vehicle crash near Ely

ELY - One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash near Ely.

According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, deputies, the Ely Fire Department and Area Ambulance were called to a crash near 3700 Wright Brothers Boulevard at 6:48 a.m. Thursday. Authorities said an eastbound Chevrolet van driven by Rosalind Hardaway, 56, of Ely; had collided with a westbound vehicle driven by Kerby Hill, 28, of Solon.

Hardaway was taken to Mercy Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Hill was uninjured, authorities said. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

Hardaway was cited for driving on the wrong side of a two-lane highway, the sheriff's office said.
