CEDAR RAPIDS - A Linn County man wanted in connection with a child abuse investigation was arrested Tuesday in Ohio.
According to the U.S. Marshals Office, Terrell King, 31, was arrested Tuesday morning in Cincinnati. He is in the Hamilton County Jail awaiting extradition to Iowa.
Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said police last year investigated a report of child sexual abuse that resulted in warrants being issued for King's arrest by the Linn County attorney's Office. The warrants - for three counts of sexual abuse - were issued Feb. 12, according to the U.S. Marshals.
Local authorities worked with the U.S. Marshals Service Northern Iowa Fugitive Task Force to track down King. Task force members traced him to a residence in northern Cincinnati.
On Tuesday, marshals from the Southern District of Ohio saw King leaving the residence and took him into custody without incident.
Buelow said the child abuse case still is under investigation.
