Report: North Liberty man run over after pulling gun on woman

NORTH LIBERTY - A man arrested after a shooting incident in Iowa City last week was run over in North Liberty after pulling a gun on a woman, police said.
According to North Liberty police criminal complaints, around 9:12 a.m. Dec. 7, 24-year-old Dimione J. Walker, of North Liberty, was involved in a hit-and-run crash at the Beaver Kreek Center in North Liberty. Police said Walker got into a verbal argument with the female driver of the vehicle and pulled a gun on her.
Walker allegedly told the occupants he was going to 'blast” them.
Police said Walker was then run over by the vehicle.
Walker does not have a permit to carry a firearm in Iowa, police said. Officers also determined the gun had been stolen out of Iowa City.
Walker was arrested and faces charges of fourth-degree theft, assault while displaying a weapon, carrying weapons and first-degree harassment.
Iowa City police arrested Walker along with three other men and a juvenile after responding to a shots fired incident in Iowa City on Dec. 4. Police said Walker fled from the scene when police arrived. He was captured after running through several yards. Walker was also wanted on a warrants for driving while barred and failing to appear for a case management conference.
