New Iowa City library director meet-and-greet to be held May 16

IOWA CITY - Iowa City Public Library patrons will have an opportunity this month to meet the library's new director.
The Iowa City Public Library Friends Foundation on May 16 will host a meet-and-greet for Library Director Elsworth Carman from 4 to 6 p.m. on the first floor near the Children's Room.
Carman joined the library in January after two-and-a-half years in Marion where he worked as director of the Marion Public Library, then as a city administrator.
Carman will make brief, informal remarks at 4:15 p.m.
