Iowa City Liberty, Iowa City West and Linn-Mar high schools captured runner-up honors in their respective classes and Cedar Rapids Kennedy claimed third place in Pom competition Friday at the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association state meet in Des Moines.
West and Kennedy, along with Cedar Rapids Jefferson, competed Friday morning in Class XIII at Casey’s Arena, formerly Wells Fargo Arena. Liberty and Cedar Rapids Washington took part in Class XII early in the afternoon at EMC Expo Center, formerly Hy-Vee Hall. Linn-Mar was the Class XIV runner-up Friday night in Casey’s Arena.
Because of a technical problem, photos are unavailable for Cedar Rapids Prairie, which placed fifth, and Iowa City High in Class XIV.
