Kris Murray, the junior forward from Cedar Rapids who gave Iowa an All-America men’s basketball player for the fourth-straight year, announced Friday he is entering the 2023 NBA draft.
Murray averaged 20.2 points and 7.9 rebounds for the Hawkeyes in 2022-23, and led the team in 3-pointers with 66. He played 34.9 minutes per game.
He was a first-team All-Big Ten selection, and was a third-team Associated Press All-America.
Murray heads to the NBA on the heels of his twin brother, Keegan Murray, doing so last year after his sophomore season. The Sacramento Kings took him with the fourth pick of the draft. He averages 12.2 points for the Kings, and has an NBA rookie-record 203 3-pointers.
