At summer camp, there are lots of opportunities to improve yourself, whether you’re committed to finally shooting an arrow perfectly into a bullseye or becoming an even better friend.
To celebrate campers’ successes, there are merit badges. But you don’t always need to hike out to camp to earn them — lots of skills are things you can practice anywhere. (But maybe keep the bow and arrow out of the kitchen.)
Complete their tasks below to earn each badge.
The awesome adventure badge
- Try a brand-new food
- Make an epic “floor is lava” course at home
- Go on a long hike, like to the top of Mount Trashmore
The happy hippie badge
- Pick up 5 pieces of trash in your neighborhood
- Climb a tree (Ask a grown-up to watch!)
- Build a compost bin
The friendly face badge
- Ask a grown-up at home how their day was
- Invite a new kid to play with you
- Start a Kindness Club or make a Kindness Pledge for you and your friends
