You don’t have to have a horde of crown jewels to create fashionable accessories.
Much of modern jewelry is colorful, bold and surprising. What’s bolder than a statement piece made out of pasta? Here’s how to make your own.
What you need:
- Dry pasta that has a hole through the middle, like rigatoni or penne
- Small plastic bags
- String
- Any kind of paint
- Newspaper
What you do:
1. Pour the dry pasta into a plastic bag, then add some paint. Close the bag and use your hands to shake and squeeze the bag until all of the pasta is covered.
2. Lay the pasta out to dry on a piece of newspaper. Be patient! It could take an hour or more for the pasta to be completely dry.
3. Thread the pasta onto a piece of string long enough to be a necklace or bracelet. Add it to your jewelry collection!
