Property manager accused of prostitution in North Liberty

NORTH LIBERTY — A 72-year-old property manager is accused of soliciting sex from his tenants in exchange for money and other favors.
According to North Liberty police, Larry J. Baxter of Iowa City managed an apartment complex in North Liberty. between June 30, 2018, and Feb. 8, 2021.
During that time, police said Baxter offered female tenants “money and favors related to his normal duties,” in exchange for sex, according to the criminal complaint.
Baxter faces three counts of prostitution, an aggravated misdemeanor.
