Search warrants served in Iowa City, Coralville in connection with shooting investigation

IOWA CITY — Police served warrants across two jurisdictions Tuesday related to Iowa City shooting incidents.
According to the Iowa City Police Department, officers served warrants at 2162 Davis and 1840 S. Gilbert streets in Iowa City, as well as 715 1/2 10th Ave. in Coralville around 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The warrants were served by the Iowa City Metro Response Team and Johnson County Special Emergency Response Team due to the nature of the warrants, police said. They were assisted by the Coralville Police Department, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and 6th Judicial District Department of Corrections.
Police said the warrants were served without incident and are part of an ongoing investigation.
