CEDAR RAPIDS - Police have made a series of arrests as part of an ongoing shooting investigation.
Cedar Rapids police were called to the 300 block of 31st Street Drive SE around 7:50 p.m. Feb. 15. Responding officers found shell casings and damage to at least one home in the area, but no injuries were reported.
On Thursday, Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said several people have been arrested as part of that investigation. Those arrested are:
- Sawyer C. Brockman, 19, for possession of marijuana and failure to affix a drug stamp.
- Russell D. Harryman, 26, for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Brooke L. Devereux, 18, for disorderly house.
- Robert J. Devereux, 45, for disorderly house.
- Georgia R. Devereux, 49, for disorderly house.
All five suspects are from Cedar Rapids. Brockman and the members of the Devereaux family all reside in the 300 block of 31st Street Drive SE. Buelow said the disorderly house charges were related to marijuana being kept and smoked at the home.
