At 125, Matt McDonugh gets T2 just 11 seconds in. Releases Myers and then gets another quick T2. Rides him before getting a fall in 1:47. Iowa up 6-0.

Tony Ramos vs. John Petrov at 133. Ramos leads 5-2 with 1:16 to go. Ramos has two T2 and an E1, while Petrov scored a reversal. Ramos with another T2, release Petrov and adds another T2 for 9-4 lead. And that's how the first period ends.

Petrov with E1 in second to make it 9-5. Petrov hit for second stall call before Ramos hits another T2 for 12-5 lead. Ramos gets another stall point and racks up nearfall (2) before end of period for 15-5 lead.

Ramos adds an E1 and T2 and leads 18-5 in third. Ramos wins match termination 21-5. Iowa up, 11-0.

At 141, Mark Ballweg (Iowa) is wrestling Lawrence Blackful. Ballweg gets early takedown and then turns Blackful with double bar-arm. Ballweg gets pin in 2:03, and Hawks lead, 17-0.

At 149, Matt Ballweg vs. Derrick Pousson. Ballweg with the first T2 and 2-0 lead. Ballweg adds NF2 at end of first for 4-0 lead. ballweg with a R2 and HF2 to go up 8-0 in second and that's how the second period ends. Ballweg with 3:04 of RT as well.

Ballweg starts down and catches the legs of Pousson trying to throw them in, reaches up and grabs the head for a reversal and immediate back points. Ballweg goes up 13-0 when Pousson fights to stomach. Ballweg with 16-1 tech. fall at 149.

At 157, Derek St. John vs. Kyle Lowman.Derek St. John builds a 4-1 lead with a minute left in the first. St. John rides Lowman most of the period. DSJ gets a penalty point for stalling before Lowman does manage an escape. DSJ with 3:45 of RT and a 5-2 lead after second. DSJ with R2 to start the third and a 7-2 lead.

St. John wins, 9-2. at 157 and Iowa is up, 25-0. Now there will be a 12-minute break. I will go down and try to get some interviews.

We'll return with 165, which should likely be Aaron Janssen for Iowa and Gabe Hocum. Janssen scored three takedowns before scoring a fall in 2:46 and Iowa leads 31-0.

Iowa's Ethen Lofthouse up, 4-2, over Michael Dace with 1:05 to go in first. At the end of the first, Ethen Lofthouse leads, 6-3. Lofthouse ends up with 14-7 win at 174.

At 184, Grant Gambrall is taking on Deshoun White. Gambrall builds 8-3 lead before throwing a nice bodylock and getting the fall in 2:28. Iowa up 40-0.

At 197, Luke Lofthouse vs. Robert Cooney. Lofthouse with five takedowns and leads 10-4 after first. Lofthouse with another takedown and cinches up a cradle right away for a fall in 3:36. Iowa leads 46-0.

Heavyweight is next and the carnage is almost over. Blake Rasing vs. David Devine. Rasing with a takedown and a 2-0 lead. Devine with an E1 and a T2 and SIU-E leads anything for the first time, but it only lasts about 18 seconds before Rasing E1 ties it 3-3, which is how the first period ends.

Devine ties it up with E1 to start third. Rasing with a T2 with 37 seconds to go and he adds RT point for 7-4 win and Iowa wins 49-0.
