Iowa City High’s Chase Williams topped Dubuque Hempstead’s fifth-ranked Landon Gottschalk, 18-11, in a battle of state qualifiers Thursday night at Little Hawk Arena in Iowa City. The Mustangs swept City High in a boys/girls double dual.

The National Wrestling Coaches Association Multi-Divisional duals were packed with memorable performances and results, including University of Northern Iowa’s title defense. Iowa State ends road trip with a win at North Dakota State and assorted high school results in the Wrestling Weekend That Was.
Philip Jacobs wants to be his best but he is also focused on Linn-Mar’s team success. He’s willing to do whatever helps the team, moving up to 190 pounds. Jacobs went 5-0 and host Linn-Mar claimed the team title Saturday at the Lions Duals.
