Saturday's championship matches at the State Wrestling Tournament will be televised live by KCRG 9.2 from 6-10 p.m.
KCRG, which recently was approved to broadcast the state wrestling championships, could not carry the event from Des Moines' Wells Fargo Arena on KCRG-TV9 on Saturday night because of contractual obligations with the ABC network, which will allow the station to carry Big 12 Conference basketball (Texas Tech at Kansas). KCRG-TV9 also is airing a Show You Care special Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
KCRG 9.2 is available to anyone in the KCRG-TV9 viewing area as long as they have an antenna, or use Mediacom (Channel 115-6 or Digital 109), ImOn (709) or any of the other cable providers listed at www.kcrg.com/9point2.
DirecTV and Dish Network customers will have to use an antenna, which usually can be plugged directly into their receiver, to be able to watch state wrestling over the air. Kevin Schrader, the director of broadcast technical operations at KCRG, has offered to answer questions about antenna installation via email:
