Hawkeyes remain atop NWCA Coaches Poll

The University of Iowa remains in first place of the National Wrestling Coaches Association/USA Today NCAA Division I Coaches Poll. The Hawkeyes received eight of 10 first-place votes and 248 points, only six more than No. 2 Oklahoma State, which received the other two.
The Hawkeyes have held the No. 1 spot each of the first five weeks.
Minnesota was third with 224 points. Cornell and Penn State rounded out the top five with 219 and 212, respectively. Ohio State, Illinois, Michigan and Pittsburgh held the sixth through ninth positions, giving the Big Ten six of the top-eight spots.
There were no changes in the top nine from last week. Oklahoma ranked 10th this week flipped spots with Lehigh, which dropped to 11th.
Iowa State and University of Northern Iowa did not receive votes.
