Hawkeyes open season with Iowa City Duals

Nov. 18, 2010 9:29 pm
IOWA CITY - The University of Iowa Hawkeyes begin their quest for a fourth straight Big Ten and NCAA team title Friday with the Iowa City Duals at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Duals begin at 2 p.m. with the Hawkeyes wrestling Iowa Central at 4 p.m. and Coe College at 6 p.m.
The Hawkeyes will attempt to extend its school-record 61-dual win streak and the team's record 25-dual home win streak. Cornell and SIU-Edwardsville will be there but the Hawkeyes will not wrestle those two teams because they have duals scheduled against both later in the season. The Hawkeyes will wrestle at Cornell on Friday, Nov. 26, the day after Thanksgiving.
