Zimmerman - Paulsen

Maria Zimmerman and Bret Paulsen of Cedar Rapids were married on September 6, 2009, at Christ Episcopal Church in Cedar Rapids. A dinner and dance followed at the Cedar Rapids Marriott.

The bride is the daughter of Brian and Julie Zimmerman of Hiawatha. She is he granddaughter of Mrs. Demetra Schilling and the late Mr. Roy Schilling of Charles City, and Mrs. Sally Zimmerman and the late Mr. Wally Zimmerman of Waukon.

The groom's parents are Richard and Joyce Paulsen of Lakota, IA. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Morris and Betty Kollasch, the late Mr. Joe Leonard, and Mrs. Florence Paulsen and the late Mr. Elmer Paulsen, all of Latoka.

Maria is a 2001 Kennedy High school graduate and a 2005 graduate of Central College She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in organizational leadership from St. Ambrose University, and is employed at Rockwell Collins.

Bret graduated from North Iowa High School in Buffalo Center in 2001 and from Iowa State University in 2005. He is employed at CRST.
