Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Searles Kuennen

Nicole Marie Weidemann and Gregory Searles Kuennen exchanged wedding vows in a 4:00 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, July 30, at Zion Lutheran Church West Union, IA.  The Reverand David Grant officiated.  Parents of the couple are Kim and Debra Weidemann of West Union and Frank and Shelley Kuennen of Solon, IA. Nicole is the granddaughter of the late Charlie and Carol Weidemann of West Union.  Greg is the grandson of Charles and Ruth Searles of West Union and Wilhelmine and the Late Leonard Kuennen of St. Lucas. Nicole chose her friends, Elizabeth McDonough of West Union and Heather Anderson of Hawkeye, IA, as her maids of honor.  Bridesmaids were Kylie Mausser of Amana, IA, sister of the groom, Kristy Guthrie of North Liberty, IA, friend of the groom, and Stephanie Drewes of West Union, friend of the bride. Rachel Darnall of West Union, cousin of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid.   The flower girl was Berkley Mausser, niece of the groom.  Serving as the groom's best man was his friend, Chris Thilges of Algona, IA. Groomsmen were Nathan Weidemann of West Union, brother of the bride, Ryan Mausser of Amana, brother-in-law of the groom, Ryan Hanes of Solon, IA, and Ryan Dierks of Des Moines, IA, friends of the groom.  The ring bearer was Brayton Thilges, godson of the groom.  Seating the guests were Jesse Guest, Nicholas Schmitz, and Dylan Langreck.  Soloist Craig Moss and accompanist Sue McDonough provided music for the occasion.  At the guest book were Jacob Langerman, Mallory Weidemann, and Trey Darnall.  Following the ceremony, the couple was honored at a reception and dance at Country Hills Country Club in West Union.  The couple are making their home in Solon.
