JOHNSTON, IA - Erin Lynn Shaffer of Ely, IA and Erik Andrew Meyer of Grimes, IA were married January 3, 2009. The ceremony and reception were held at Hilton Garden Inn in Johnston, IA.
Erin is the daughter of Dan and Jan Shaffer of Ely. Erik is the son of Laurie Meyer and Denny Meyer of Grimes.
Erin is a graduate of Prairie High School, Kirkwood Community College, and Grandview University. She is employed with Nationwide in Des Moines, IA.
Erik graduated from Dallas Center-Grimes High School. He is a reservist in the U.S. Navy, having been stationed in Japan and Iraq. He is employed by Exterior Sheet Metal in Grimes.
The couple reside in Grimes with their boxer puppy, Wrigley.
