Sauer-Joyce

Christiane Karina Sauer and Tristan John Brendan Joyce were married August 1, 2009, at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, in Iowa City. The Rev. John Hougen officiated. Angeline Sauer of Warsaw Poland, served as maid of honor and vocalist. Caryn Kelly of Tuscon, AZ, was bridesmaid. Tim Joyce of Leigh-on-Sea, United Kingdom was best man. Fritz Sauer, of Lisbon, IA and Jessica Sauer of Washington, D.C., were ushers. Honored guest was DeVee Sauer of Marion, IA, grandmother of the bride.

A reception was held at The University Athletic Club in Iowa City. Music was provided by Rod Pierson and His Not So Big Band with vocals by Craig Boche.

Parents of the couple are Franklin and Sandra Sauer of Independence, IA, and Mary Joyce and the late Timothy Joyce of Rayleigh, UK.

On August 29, there was a Blessing Service at St. Peters Catholic Church in Leigh-on-Sea, with a reception at The Park View Suite in Westcliff-on-Sea.

The couple are making their home in Wimbledon, UK.
