Rachel Anna Pitlik and Dr. Cristiano

Bianchi were married at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Solon, IA on September 6, 2014. Rachel is the daughter of

David and Linda K. Pitlik of Mt. Vernon, IA and Cristiano is the son of the late Adalgisa Polimeno of Rome, Italy. The

reception followed the 5 p.m. ceremony in Mt. Vernon at Belvedere, the vineyard owned and operated by the bride's

parents, where guests enjoyed live

music, Italian cuisine, wine bottled from the vineyard grapes, and fireworks. The newlyweds plan a honeymoon trip to

India in Spring 2015. Rachel graduated from DePaul University, Chicago, with a degree in Art History, and completed her M.B.A. from IFA, Paris, France in 2013. Cristiano's PH.D is in Comparative

Literature, his B.A. and Master's

degrees in Austrian Literature - all are from Roma University 3, Rome, Italy. The couple reside in Rome, where Cristiano teaches literature and foreign languages, and Rachel is self-employed.
