Marian Marvin and Tom Shaffer Wed After 34 Years Together

Marian Marvin and Tom Shaffer were united in marriage October 26, 2014 by Reverend William Harnish at The Wedding Chapel in Cedar Rapids, IA. Kevin Marvin, son of the bride,

escorted his mother to the altar as her grandson, Ryan DeCook, played the

guitar and sang "I Believe in You" by Don Williams.

Following the ceremony, a rainbow-themed reception was enjoyed by

family and friends at the Hiawatha Community Center, where guests were treated to a live band.

Matron of honor was Donna Swartz and Best man was Neil Simmons.

The flower girl was the bride's great-granddaughter, Enslea Grace Orozco. The organist was a friend of the bride, Diane Beach. Ushers were grandson Bob Fee and friend Jack Swartz.
