Dr. and Mrs. J. Ross Avila

Mary Emma Gray Hart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Hart of Sandusky, OH, and Joseph Ross Avila, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Avila of Grimes, IA, were united in marriage on January 14, 2017.

The ceremony was held at half past five o'clock in the afternoon at The Union League Club of

Chicago, IL. Reverend Ernest Matijasic officiated at the ceremony.

The bride's Man of Honor was Timothy Murray, her childhood friend. Her attendants were Anna Gray, her cousin, James R. Hart III, her brother, and William K. Hart, her brother.

The groom's Best Men were Peter Hadjis and Brad Peterson, long time friends. His attendants were Brooke Avila, his sister, and John Gray, his friend and cousin of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Sandusky High School, the College of Charleston, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, and the University of

Rochester, where she earned her Bachelor of

Science in Nursing degree. She is employed in the emergency department at St. Louis University

Hospital.

The groom is a graduate of Washington High School, the University of Iowa, where he earned his Bachelor of Science and Masters in Public Health degrees, and KCUMB, where he earned his Doctorate of Osteopathy. He is an emergency

medicine physician and assistant medical director employed at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis.
