Parents of the couple are Colin and Kari Dirks of Coralville and Steve and Karen Richardson of Eden Prairie, MN. Grandparents are Jared and Carol Hills of Cedar Rapids, Irene Dirks of Center Junction, IA, and Audrey Hill of Negaunee, MI.
The couple are graduates of Iowa State University. Alison earned degrees in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Studies, and Ryan in Mechanical Engineering and Environmental Studies. They are employed by NewPage Corporation. They honeymooned in Jamaica, and reside in Stevens Point, WI.
