Tornado Warning includes Linn County through 6:00 p.m.

A tornado warning has been issued for Linn County through 6:00 p.m. by the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities.

..A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 PM CDT FOR SOUTHEASTERN BENTON AND SOUTHWESTERN LINN COUNTIES... At 523 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Fairfax, or 7 miles west of Cedar Rapids, moving north at 30 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near... Hiawatha, Palo and Shellsburg around 540 PM CDT. Robins and Toddville around 545 PM CDT.
