The National Weather Service has forecast near record to record late summer heat and humidity this week. Temperatures are expected to exceed 100 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday with heat index values predicted to reach 105 to 115 degrees this week.
This map has been updated to reflect two new locations listed in the past month by the City of Marion for heat relief:
1) Thomas Park Safe Room, 343 Marion Boulevard, Marion (Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.)
2) Lowe Park Arts & Environment Center, 4500 N. 10th Street, Marion (Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.)
