The City of Cedar Rapids is putting out a call for assistance to help keep congestion at a minimum as volunteers work to prepare the area for flooding.
The press release reads:
We need assistance with traffic control - both pedestrian and vehicle. We need the public to stay out of impacted areas unless they are assisting someone. We are dealing with a lot of traffic from individuals who are curious and want to get a first-hand look, but it's impeding flood preparation efforts. We appreciate the assistance spreading this message.
