[Track & Field] Rosien named MCC Women's Field Athlete of the Week
MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa -- Mount Mercy senior Janae Rosien picked up her first league honor this week, earning Midwest Collegiate Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week laurels for Jan. 24.
Rosien won the long jump and tied her personal best with a mark of 16'-7" at the Cornell Quadrangular on Saturday. She also competed on the track, racing to third place in the 55 meter dash (:07.52) and fifth in the 200 meter dash (:27.67). Rosien and Mount Mercy's 4x400 meter relay squad finished fifth with a time of 4:41.25.
Mount Mercy goes back to Cornell for the Hilltop Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 10:00 a.m. at the Small Multi-Sport Center in Mount Vernon.
