Recapping the conference girls’ track and field meets
After a mistake was detected in the 400-meter hurdles, Cedar Rapids Prairie was ruled the MVC Mississippi Division champion

Conference and divisional girls’ track and field meets were held throughout the area Thursday (the South Iowa Cedar League was Tuesday).
The tightest race, and most controversial, came in the MVC Mississippi Division. Linn-Mar was named the original champion, then after a mistake was detected late Thursday night, it was ruled a 130-130 tie between the Lions and Cedar Rapids Prairie.
On Friday, after further review, Prairie was determined to be the winner by a 131-130 margin over the Lions.
