State track and field, Class 2A boys Thursday: Tipton’s 3,200-meter relay team won the state title for the first time since stringing three championships in a row from 2000-02.
State track and field, 3A boys: Western Dubuque won the 3,200-meter relay, while Washington (Iowa) took the team lead after Elijah Morris’ 400-meter conquest.
State track and field, Class 2A girls Thursday: Mid-Prairie standout Danielle Hostetler won her second straight title in the 3,000 and Mitzi Evans became the school’s first 400 champion.
