Gracie Federspiel earned girls’ athlete-of-the-year honors, winning four events to lead Solon to the Wamac Conference girls’ track and field championship. Solon’s boys also dominated, racking up 157 points

Track and field: MVC, Wamac, River Valley and Tri-Rivers will hold their track and field championships Thursday.

The school’s teams are working with a University of Iowa sports and performance psychologist on leadership, improving confidence and setting realistic expectations.
