Assignments for 2025 state-qualifying track and field meets
State qualifiers are May 15; the state meet is May 22-24

The state’s governing bodies for high school sports have jointly released assignments for track and field state qualifiers.
Girls’ regionals and boys’ districts will be held Thursday, May 15. Twenty-four qualifiers in each event advance to the state meet May 22-24 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
Assignments are as follows for SQMs with area teams:
Class 4A
(Top 2 in each event automatically qualify, along with 12 at-large qualifiers)
AT IOWA CITY WEST
Cedar Rapids Prairie, Cedar Rapids Washington, Dubuque Hempstead, Dubuque Senior, Iowa City High, Iowa City Liberty, Iowa City West, Southeast Polk.
AT MARSHALLTOWN
Ankeny, Cedar Rapids Jefferson, Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Johnston, Linn-Mar, Marshalltown, Ottumwa, Waukee.
Class 3A
(Top 2 in each event automatically qualify, along with 8 at-large qualifiers)
AT DAVENPORT ASSUMPTION
Cedar Rapids Xavier, Central DeWitt, Clinton, Maquoketa, Davenport Assumption, Dubuque Wahlert, West Delaware, Western Dubuque.
AT DECORAH
