Swimming season traditionally begins with Memorial Day weekend, so here’s a look at places and dates where you can take the plunge.

CEDAR RAPIDS

Noelridge Aquatic Center, 1248 42nd St. NE: Noelridge opens Saturday to Monday, May 25 to 27, with Lap Swim for ages 15 and up, 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., $5.50 or pass; open swim for all ages, 1 to 5 p.m., $6.50 or pass.
