Adaptive Sports Iowa to hold 3-on-3 wheelchair basketball fundraiser

WELLMAN — Adaptive Sports Iowa will be holding a 3-on-3 wheelchair basketball fundraiser in Wellman next weekend.
Players can support the state organization and their new Adaptive Sports on the Court fundraiser with a $25 entry fee. The organization provides statewide leadership to plan, promote and educate about sports and recreational opportunities for Iowans with physical disabilities.

When: Saturday, March 26. First session from noon to 3:30 p.m.; second session from 3:45 to 8 p.m.
Where: Wellman Park YMCA, 525 13th St., Wellman
Fee: $25 per person

Teams require three to five players. Playing coaches must register as players.
Teams consist of three to five players; playing coaches must be entered as players. Players will be asked to sign a waver on-site at check-in.
The event is one of five major fundraisers held by the organization each year to raise funding for new equipment and facilities needs.
