After a summer of partnerships with Theatre Cedar Rapids and Eastern Iowa Arts Academy, Yesandia Improv will kick off its fourth year of Camp Yesandia from July 21-25.
This capstone program features a week full of camp, two performances downtown and a record number of campers.
The community is invited to a free improv show featuring Troupe Yesandia at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 23 at Whipple Auditorium in the Cedar Rapids Public Library, 450 5th Ave. SE. There will also be a Yesandia Counselor Showcase featuring each of their 50 campers performing live improv at 7 p.m. Friday, July 25, at Whipple Auditorium. Ticket price is $5.
“Camp Yesandia is a core part of Yesandia’s mission, vision and values. We cannot wait to have a staff of alumni and supporters help lead camp this year as we look ahead to our fifth year in existence,” said Layne Sheetz, founder and director of Yesandia.
