The family of Vernon Melchert would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone for their kindness and

prayers bestowed to our family during Vernon's illness and recent passing.

A special thanks to the staff at Above and Beyond for not only the excellent care given to Vernon but also the

support provided to Therese and our family during this difficult time.

We also wish to thank Father Paul

Baldwin for his visits and inspirational guidance, and give a big salute to American Legion Post 311 for

performing the military rites.

Thank you to St. Luke's Rosary Guild, to the crew at Darrell's for preparing and serving the funeral dinner, and to everyone for all the food, special gifts and memorials that have been

received by us over the past few weeks. Your generosity is appreciated and will be remembered always.
